The suite is furnished in a modern industrial style with an equipped kitchen including essential cookware. The outdoor seating area is ideal for observing the pulse of British Columbia’s capital city.   First class apartment very well located in Victoria. The landlords were excellent in providing details regarding restaurants and other local amenities. Very clean and comfortable meeting our needs. The accommodation doesn’t have air conditioning and so if like us you have the windows open be warned that the street below is a main thoroughfare and so is busy and noisy from early in the morning.

  If you're looking for a quiet retreat, this is not the place. However, if you want to be in the heart of Victoria, a short walk to Chinatown, the inner harbour, downtown, legislature, museum and hundreds of great restaurants and shops, then stay here! The suite is beautiful and very comfortable. We were there in August, so it can get hot. Keep the windows and blinds closed during the day, and open them up in the evening, and it cools off in minutes. The view from the balcony is excellent. You can see the harbour, you are across from the historic Market Square. You are around the corner from Fan Tan alley, and get secure, underground parking. You will only need a car if you want to venture to other areas. Highly recommend, and we'll stay there again when we return to Victoria in the future

  Victoria was a 2-day stop over for me, my husband and 2 little kids in early August. We were initially booked into a hotel but when I came across this unit, it sounded a much better option. It has a fully equipped kitchen, all the necessities you may need, two separate bedrooms and two full bathrooms with a roomy bathtub for the kids. We had a car and utilized the parking spot which was super convenient. Everything is walking distance. You can cross into Chinatown from the lobby and you are 2min away from Kid Sister Ice cream (a must try) and many restaurants. Grocery markets are a short walk away.
  
  Super pleased with this rental and we will be returning!

  The unit has a nice view of the harbor. It is very clean, and is stocked with everything you need.
  Check in is difficult, at best. This issue keeps me from recommending the unit. It would be helpful if prior notice of the procedure was told to the renter.
  
  I suggest the television be lowered about 15". Viewing it from the sofa causes neck strain. Hooks in the bathrooms would be welcomed.

  I took my parents to Victoria for a long weekend visit, we were delighted with the Bella Vista accommodation. Nicely furnished and great location - it was exactly what we had hoped for.
  The managing team were really quick to reply to our questions and very helpful, however the charge to store baggage after check out seemed quite expensive.
  Only 2 things to note - the master bedroom was quite noisy at night, even with the window shut. And the second bedroom was a pullout bed - fine for one person but I dont think I would want to sleep 2 people there.
  Overall a great place and I would highly recommend it.

  I found this vacation rental through Trip Advisor, and the photos of the condo on their website are good representations of the property. The condo is efficiently laid out, and immaculately kept! Additionally, the owner has very thoughtfully and hospitably stocked the unit. Between the well-provisioned condo and its proximal location, our stay in Victoria was well-supported. We had an excellent time, and enjoyed the many amenities, including restaurants and craft breweries, that were well within walking distance. We found Victoria to have a very lively cultural scene - lots of good food and live music - that was accessible and inclusive*. My companions thanked me many times for the excellent find of "Bella Vista", and yes, I would definitely stay there again! The only caveat I would add, is that there is some traffic noise from the street below the unit, which does tend to quiet down later on in the evening; however, closing the windows helps to cut down the noise considerably. The noise was not an issue for us, and we considered it "part & parcel" of the many advantages of the condo's beautiful location. Ps: I highly recommend checking out "The Bard and Banker" pub/on Government Street on a Friday night!

  The apartment is in a great location within walking distance of great cafes, shops and restaurants. The apartment is well equiped with a great little verandah. I would recommend some stronger curtains to make the bedroom darker as well as a solid door on the bedroom. Because the unit is so central, it is noisy and when the room is very bright, it is hard to get a restful sleep.

  Fabulous stay at JP By the Sea! The home was immaculate and is even nicer in person than in the photos. The balcony has views to the water and both bedrooms were quite large. Pierre was waiting at the entrance to the underground and showed us up to the apartment. He was very kind and explained everything clearly. There were even freshly baked muffins! Couldn't have asked for a better stay and it's so central to everything!

  This apartment in an old renovated building is in a fantastic location. There are views from the balcony to the Parliament building and parts of the harbour.
  
  The apartment itself is not overly large but has everything that we needed. Its kitchen is complete with a large fridge and full stove/oven. With four adults in residence it was big enough without feeling too cramped. The second bedroom was tight but comfortable and the main bedroom was fine although the lack of blackout blinds is a bit of a pain and could be easily fixed by the owners.
  
  Some issues that could not be overcome in this condo is the lack of storage in the bedrooms - a small point that didn't overly concern us as we were only there for two nights.
  
  We didn't have access to the internal laundry - we were told we needed to be there for a 7 night stay to get access to do our washing. This was a pain in the butt for us as we had already been travelling for 3 weeks. This is within the control of the owners/managers and should be addressed although for some travellers it probably won't be an issue.
  
  The security in the building is great and the location is fantastic.
  
  We'd definitely stay there again and the muffins on arrival were a much appreciated treat.

  I would suggest a 3 or 4 inch mattress pad for the pull out bed. Roll it and store it in the closet or utility room . That would rectify the uncomfortableness of the pull out bed as well the pull out is not designed to properly accept a fitted bottom sheet so another top sheet to use instead would be easier overall.

  My daughter and I loved our stay at Hemingway. I was so happy when I found this gem of a suite. When we arrived early Sarah was very helpful and friendly.
  The location is awesome, we were steps away from Swans Pub, Drakes pub, Fan Tan Alley, Bliss (juices, smoothies, vegan), Habit (great coffee/tea), Mole (awesome food), bakery, chocolate shop, Great fusion Indian food, China Town, Market Square across street and Bastion Square not far (we hit the Flea Market at both on sun and sat!). And a short 5 min walk to more great restaurants (too many to mention...one of our favs Il Terrazo amazing Italian is a quick walk thru Market Square and your there!! Marina also so close! It was also a very secure building, used key fob for entry, even late at night I felt safe.
  The suite was everything it advertised, new, very clean, full kitchen equipped with everything you need, balcony and a comfy trundle bed in living room.
  I loved this place and I handed out many cards to family and my brother does live in town but won't be able to accommodate everyone for a family wedding next sept!!
  I'll be booking in advance for next year!! Loved it!
  I'm looking forward to trying out other suites they have and maybe the cabins!

  We were met by Sarah who was very welcoming and explained where every thing was. The apartment was very was very clean and well supplied with towels etc. Our only complaint was the overpowering odour out in the hallway seeming to come from the air conditioning. We intend staying there again next April/May when we are planning our next visit to our son who now lives over there.

  The one bedroom condo was a lovely alternative to a traditional hotel. It was just as pictured and described when I booked it. Seems to be very new and everything was immaculate and very comfortable. All amenities of home with the exception of laundry facilities. It was wonderful to have a very private balcony to sit out on. Quite cool inside despite the extremely hot weather, although not apparently air conditioned. It was located near the entrance to Fan Tan Alley so easy to visit Chinatown. Also an easy walk to the inner harbor activities such as Whale Watching trip and all of the downtown restaurants, stores, museums, etc. The only small inconvenience is that you must make an appointment to "check in" as this is not a traditional hotel and there is also no place to leave luggage if you check out at 11:00 as required but are catching a later plane. This would not be a problem for someone with a vehicle.

  We went to Victoria for our annual girls' weekend and had a delightful stay at the Hemingway. It was right in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go. It was nice to have a place to have our own personal Happy hour and a leisurely breakfast every morning.

  For our first trip to Victoria, BC, we stumbled upon this apartment by chance and decided to give it a shot. We were more than pleased with the ease of transaction and convenience once we arrived. The renters were very responsive, informative, and helpful with any questions or concerns we had.
  Being new to the area, we were pleasantly surprised how close to shopping, restaurants, and attractions the location was. We barely had to use our car, which was tucked away in a secure parking garage.
  Privacy of the apartment was excellent. The decor was newly remodeled and very tasteful. Lots of natural light as well.
  Some minor notes that are NOT by any means a "deal-breaker" were the lack of laundry capabilities, and perhaps some spare toiletries.
  Awesome experience overall. Will aim to re-book next time we're in the area!
